Arp creation
Moderator: Psicraft Tony
Hello,
I recently picked up the Venom and I am totally loving the included patches and patch editor features. I am ready to start creating some patches and arpeggios of my own. However, I have two questions that I hope someone can help with if possible. I am uploading quantized .midi files using the venom software. The patterns don't sound right when I attempt to play them back with the Venom or with the Vyzex editor. They are always off time or off pitch (As in shifted a step or two up when I hold down middle C ). Is there any way to record the note data directly to the Venom or Vyzex editor? My second question involves sending patch data between Vyzex and Venom. I have created several patches in Vyzex and I would like to sync them to the Venom. Even though I click the sync button, they only persist in the Venom's internal memory until I close Vyzex. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok let's see what we can do to help you...
The arp importing tool is an Avid/M-Audio utility... I am not really sure how it works or what you need to do to use it, unfortunately.
Not in the current versions. We are planning to add a pattern editor in a future retail upgrade to the program but the free Vyzex version will not have this feature.
That's not adding up. If you press the SYNC button the changes should be transmitted, but if you have not actually STORED the edits to a bank location before pressing SYNC then you are going to get the results you report. You should open and read the Vyzex User's Guide PDF which can be launched from the editor's 'manuals' menu for a better understanding of what's going on. If you are still having issues after that let us know the exact nature of the problem and I will do what I can to explain things.

Hello PsicraftTony,
Thank you for the incredibly swift response. I think that I may have solved the problem by doing a factory reset on the system.
I'm not sure what I may have messed up the first time but it seems as though the reset did the trick. Thanks. Time to rock!
